Now that summer's over..

Another much needed update!  Landon is just over 8 months old already, and still growing like a weed.  He's still a traveling baby, with two more trips to Minnesota under his belt and plenty to Townsend and Wild Rose.  Some new skills he's mastered include pulling himself to standing, crawling (at least his version of crawling!), babbling two syllables together, clapping, and being able to put objects together (like his shape blocks into their holes).  Tanner and I just signed him up for his first swimming lessons that start in two weeks!  He LOVES taking baths and already wants to swim around, so I figured it was my cue to get him into a bigger tub ;)  We also will be taking him for his 9 month professional pictures soon, seeing as we slacked on the 3rd and 6th month - oops!  And for the much anticipated announcement of what the little guy will be for Halloween... a hamburger!!  Hehe!  My mom and I bought him the costume last year at Old Navy before he was born and I've been DYING to put him in it!!  Other than that, he's as happy as can be :)

As for Tanner and I, we just recently got our engagement pictures taken.  Only 8 months to go until the big day!  I just turned 21 a few weeks ago - FINALLY! :)  We had a great time celebrating with Tanner's family.  Unfortunately, I also recently lost my grandmother, Sue Woodward Nugent, after a long battle with Parkinson's and dementia.  Although it was one of the harder times in my life, I also am grateful to know she's at rest.  But we still are looking forward to a visit from my grandpa George, aunt Mary Pat and uncle Dan at our cabin in Townsend in November, as well as another trip to Minnesota for Thanksgiving.  We have a very busy holiday season coming up,  but an exciting one none the less being that it's Landon's first of everything :)  Crazy how time flies!!  I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the last of this weather before the cold blows in.  Talk to you soon :)
