14 Months Old Already!

I've finally found some down time in this crazy life of mine!  So I thought I'd take the time to give you guys an overdue Landon update :)  As you can see from the title of this post, our little guy is already 14 months old.  The more I say it, the less I believe that it's already been that long.  He is walking, talking, and getting into everything and anything!  At 26 lbs, I'd say Landon is growing faster than I'd like to admit.  He still sleeps 12 hours each night, with 2 naps during the day.  We love chasing him around and playing his new favorite game - turning the lights on and off.  He LOVES lights, just like his uncle/godfather Josey did (and still does, if you ask me).  We've done all of the usual traveling, with a few more trips to Minnesota and Townsend under our belts.  Our first Christmas was great, and Landon was very fortunate with how spoiled he is!  He got to meet Santa at Aunt Jean and Uncle Greg's house, as well as open tons of presents at Nana and Gramps' house - followed by a nice dinner and Packers' victory at Nani's house.

After what felt like only days, his first birthday came and went.  We had a family party at Nana and Gramps' house (aka Scott and Martha's), with plenty of family, food, and presents to keep our little guy busy!  He did so great throughout the day with all of the commotion, even if we didn't make it to cake time.  He did, however, get to enjoy his own personal cake with his dad and I on his actual birthday.  We liked having our own little family party, just the 3 (well, 4 if you count Lola hehe) of us at home.  It was a nice way to remember how the year before it was just the also 3 of us, welcoming Landon into our world and becoming a family.

Since Landon's birthday, we've kept busy with playing outside, chasing Landon and Lola around the house, visiting with family/friends, and trying to get prepared for our next big day - the wedding!  Being only 6 weeks away, it's safe to say I'm starting to panic.  Even at night my dreams have become wedding nightmares!  But looking past all the stress and anxiety, I couldn't be more excited to get the show on the road with becoming The Baslers :)  We have worked hard to put together what we hope will be a great time for everyone.  Following the wedding, Tanner and I will be taking a two week roadtrip out west for our honeymoon.  There are so many things we want to do and see, and neither of us can wait to have the time to enjoy it together!  Leaving Landon behind won't be an easy task, but we are very thankful of our families for giving us the opportunity and keeping our little guy occupied!

Well that's pretty much it for us - nothing too exciting has happened, but we like it that way :)  Simple and sweet is a good way to describe the life our little family leads.  We hope everyone is doing just as well as we are, and look forward to seeing all of you very soon!  Just look for the ones in the tuxes and gown ;)
